MY PRAYER AND SONG

 

I pray to you, I sing to you.

With all I have and do.

That on this day, the prayer I say.

That you Oh God, would teach me your way.

With your amazing grace and your loving care.

You told us all, you're always there.

To do the things, you promised to do.

And now we know, it's all true.

I pray to you, I sing to you.

To direct my path, just show me where.

With my open eyes and hands in bind.

With a lonely heart and peace to find.

With song and prayer, to sing and pray.

I ask you Lord, for your help today. 

IT'S MORE THAN WORDS

 

Look in the bible,

what did God say?

It's time to read it,

it's still true today.

How will you know,

who God really is? 

What is God's will,

are you part of this?

Take a look inside,

read the first page.

God created everything,

just like a stage.

We're all in it,

God has a plan.

There's a purpose,

for every woman and man.

Check out a verse,

like John three sixteen.

Read the whole scripture,

what does it mean?

It's more than words,

it's about God's love.

A message about salvation,

you can be part of.

So read God's word,

keep it in your mind.

It's the only book,

where you'll always find.

God is with you,

especially in time of need.

He'll never forsake you,

that's guaranteed!

SUNDAY MORNING

 

When Sunday morning arrives,

we hear the bells ring.

We're going to church,

with our offerings we bring.

We come to worship,

in our heart spoken praise.

To our Savior Jesus,

our voices we will raise.

WE BRING IN OUR FAMILY,

WE BRING IN OUR FRIENDS.

WE SHALL COME REJOICING,

IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD.

WE CALL ON OUR NEIGHBORS,

AND INVITE THEM ALL.

WE JOIN THE CHOIR,

TO SING IN ONE ACCORD.

I wear my Sunday best,

and go where I belong.

I feel the Lord's presence,

when I sing along.

I'm filled with joy,

in everything that I've heard.

FINISH THE RACE

 

You're tired and weary, 

it's taking a toll.

You thought life was easy, 

like taking a stroll.

You certainly found out, 

it's harder than you think.

Don't get down on yourself,

 and let your hopes sink.

It's time you know, 

you'll get through this.

It begins with God,

 and how great he is.

With the help of God, 

and his amazing grace.

He provides what you need, 

to finish the race.

God doesn't expect you, 

to do this alone.

There's a purpose for you, 

you're not on your own.

Before you were born, 

God already knew you.

He had a plan, 

just for you to do.

You need the Lord, 

to direct your path.

So rely on God, 

and don't look back.

With the help of God, 

and his amazing grace.

He provides what you need, 

to finish the race.

SOMEONE WHO CARES

 

There is someone who knows you,

and someone who cares.

That someone is Jesus, 

who is always there.

He loves you so much,

that he died for you.

He has risen again,

now to help you too.

There's someone who you need,

and you can't do without.

That someone is Jesus, 

that's who we're preaching about.

He took our place,

and paid for our sin.

He's our only Savior,

there's no one like him.

There's someone who's our redeemer,

and also our healer.

That someone is Jesus,

who's more than our teacher.

God's plan for salvation,

is only through his Son.

It's all in the bible,

read what he's done.

There's someone who's our King,

and prince of peace.

That someone is Jesus,

his kingdom will never cease.

He seeks the lost

and wandering still.

He intercedes for us,

to do God's will.

I REMEMBER LORD

 

I saw my life, it moved slowly past.

I was not sure, if I would even last.

I searched for someone, I didn't know then.

Then I found you Lord and I remember when.

I remember a moment and you were there.

You healed my skin, when you heard my prayer.

When I look back, what you did before.

It was more than I was praying for.

I remember a moment and you were there.

I lost my job, so I said a prayer.

You gave me a task that I could do.

In a public setting, where I could serve you.

In my darkest moment, I lost my friend.

You revealed to me, my life didn't end.

I got on my knees and I said a prayer.

When I needed you most, you were there.

I remember your love and your amazing grace.

All your great works, I've seen it take place.

Every blessing and provision, I'm thankful for.

I remember it Lord, all this and more.

WE BELIEVE

 

There is hope, there is joy,

there is Jesus in our life.

There is love, there is peace,

that only he can give.

We have faith, we believe,

we know Jesus is the one.

We are glad, we rejoice,

we're thankful what he's done.

He's the best, he's the greatest,

he's worthy of our praise.

He is Jesus, he is Lord,

he's awesome in his ways.

We will serve, we will obey,

we will thank the Lord every day.

We will sing, we will shout,

we will glorify his holy name.

We will reach, we will teach,

we will preach the word of God.

That's our goal, that's our life,

that's the best thing we got.

NOW OR NEVER

 

For everyone in life, 

there is only one guarantee.

You're either going to heaven,

 or hell for eternity.

Which road you take, 

depends on what you do.

You have to be saved, 

if heaven is for you.

You can ignore everything I said,

 and go on with what you do.

But that day will come, 

when death will be calling you.

Everyone has sinned, 

there's no one who can say no.

That's why we got to be saved, 

for God said it so.

You're going to die someday, 

it may be today.

You can't hold off, 

it may be too late.

This is it my friend, 

the moment you should pray.

Give your life to Jesus,

 and you will be saved.

There's only one way, 

repent and believe.

Be sorry for your sins,

 and you'll be set free.

TOBY'S PRAYER

 

I saw Toby standing there, with tears in his eyes.

He had a serious condition that tormented him inside.

He struggled with the pain, it was hard to cope.

So he prayed to the Lord, it was Toby's only hope.

HE PRAYED IN THE MORNING, HE PRAYED IN THE NIGHT.

HE WANTED HIS GOD, HELP HIM WIN THIS FIGHT.

THE PAIN WAS UNBEARABLE, HIS FUTURE LOOKED GRIM.

BUT HE KNEW ONE DAY, GOD WILL HEAL HIM.

He talked to his friends, he smiled and laughed.

He cried on his pillow, when the pain came back.

There was no cure, his suffering had no end.

So he closed his eyes, he said a prayer again.

HE PRAYED IN THE MORNING, HE PRAYED IN THE NIGHT.

HE WANTED HIS GOD, HELP HIM WIN THIS FIGHT.

THE PAIN WAS UNBEARABLE, HIS FUTURE LOOKED GRIM.

BUT HE KNEW ONE DAY, GOD WILL HEAL HIM.

With moments of agony that plagued him every day.

He remembered a bible verse, the one he used to say.

God is always with you, so do not be dismayed.

God is also our healer, so he decided to pray.

HE PRAYED IN THE MORNING, HE PRAYED IN THE NIGHT.

HE WANTED HIS GOD, HELP HIM WIN THIS FIGHT.

THE PAIN WAS UNBEARABLE, HIS FUTURE LOOKED GRIM.

BUT HE KNEW ONE DAY, GOD WILL HEAL HIM.

MY JOURNEY

 

Please help me in my journey,

to find out my calling.

I know you still love me,

there's a reason for my living.

Please help me in my work,

to do well in my task.

That you set before me,

with the help I ask.

Please help me in my mission,

to help those in need.

To share the good news,

so everyone can believe.

Please help me in my burden,

and each trial I must bear.

Give me the strength,

in time of despair.

Please help me to forgive,

an act that you can see.

So when my time comes,

you will forgive me.

LIGHT OF THE LORD

 

I once had a dream that I'll never forget.

It seemed so real, about a stranger I met.

He held a big sign that you couldn't miss.

Printed in bold letters, "You Got To Hear This."

He pointed to the candles, with a message for me.

"They'll Shed Some Light, On How Life Should Be."

There were four candles, only one with a flame. 

Attached to each candle, it had their own name.

The first candle spoke, "It's JOY you need today."

"No one cared to listen, so my flame faded away."

Second candle proclaimed, "It's PEACE to bring harmony."

"They chose to hate instead, my flame you won't see."

"It's LOVE!" third candle said, "for anyone torn apart."

"They chose to ignore me, so I can't warm their heart."

The fourth candle declared, "I still have light."

"I represent HOPE!" you can use me tonight."

I took the one candle, to light the other three.

I came to realize, there's HOPE inside of me.

When I lit each candle, PEACE, JOY and LOVE. 

I receive all three, when I seek God above.

A PROMISE AND A PRAYER

 

I close my eyes,

 and I pray to you.

I ask you Lord, 

what can I do?

I long for the day, 

you hear my prayer.

For my mission in life, 

just show me where.

I deny myself,

 and take up the cross.

Whatever I gained, 

I consider it a loss.

I will follow you Lord, 

wherever it may be.

Just show me now, 

what you have for me.

I submit to your will, 

I give up my ways.

I serve and obey, 

for the rest of my days.

I give you my best, 

in everything I do.

I promise to be faithful,

and always honor you.

LOVE NEVER HURTS

 

Love never hurts, don't be afraid.
