SOMEONE WHO CARES

 

There is someone who knows you,

and someone who cares.

That someone is Jesus, 

who is always there.

He loves you so much,

that he died for you.

He has risen again,

now to help you too.

There's someone who you need,

and you can't do without.

That someone is Jesus, 

that's who we're preaching about.

He took our place,

and paid for our sin.

He's our only Savior,

there's no one like him.

There's someone who's our redeemer,

and also our healer.

That someone is Jesus,

who's more than our teacher.

God's plan for salvation,

is only through his Son.

It's all in the bible,

read what he's done.

There's someone who's our King,

and prince of peace.

That someone is Jesus,

his kingdom will never cease.

He seeks the lost

and wandering still.

He intercedes for us,

to do God's will.

WE BELIEVE

 

There is hope, there is joy,

there is Jesus in our life.

There is love, there is peace,

that only he can give.

We have faith, we believe,

we know Jesus is the one.

We are glad, we rejoice,

we're thankful what he's done.

He's the best, he's the greatest,

he's worthy of our praise.

He is Jesus, he is Lord,

he's awesome in his ways.

We will serve, we will obey,

we will thank the Lord every day.

We will sing, we will shout,

we will glorify his holy name.

We will reach, we will teach,

we will preach the word of God.

That's our goal, that's our life,

that's the best thing we got.

JESUS

 

He did, he does, he will,

if you let him in your heart.

He loves, he cares, he helps,

if you let him do his part.

He came, he taught, he died,

and saved us from our sin.

He's alive, he's here, even now,

ready to help us again.

He stands, he knocks, he waits,

for anyone to let him in.

Through faith and hope and love,

we see his love within.

He did, he does, he will,

if you let him in your heart.

He loves, he cares, he helps,

if you let him do his part.

We need, we ask, we pray,

and watch his grace at work.

We marvel at his greatness,

and all his handiwork.

He comes, he heals, he stays,

he's the one we need today.

He's the way, truth and life,

there is no other way.

He did, he does, he will,

if you let him in your heart.

He loves, he cares, he helps,

if you let him do his part.

THIS IS OUR MOMENT

 

Let's gather together and lift up our voice.

This is our moment, a time to rejoice.

Our Lord and Savior, we worship and praise.

We see his good works, in his wonderful ways.

It's not hard to find, you see it every place.

His abounding love, his mercy and grace.

Many souls are saved, the blind can see.

They're all forgiven, they're all set free.

The cross is a reminder, for what he's done.

The ultimate sacrifice that came from God's Son.

There's nobody like him, we honor him every day.

We believe God's word, Jesus is the only way.

ETERNAL LIFE

 

I write about Jesus and preach about him,

because that's who we need today.

For it is written in the bible,

that only through Jesus can man be saved.

I write about love and teach about love,

because that's what we need to do.

For God said to love everyone,

and that means me and you.

I write about Jesus and write about salvation,

because you need to know the truth.

For the end is near and if you choose Jesus,

it means eternal life for you.

I write about the bible and teach about it,

because that's what we need to hear.

For it's the book of books, the word of God,

that says salvation is near.

FIRST CHRISTMAS

 

The word came true, when the time was right.

When the shepherds saw the beautiful sight.

It's our Savior Jesus, who was born.

Who came down to us in the early morn.

It was that night that salvation had begun.

When God sent his only beloved Son.

He came down to save us from our sin.

We could see God's love through him.

He died on the cross for our sake.

So that our bondage of sin would break.

We celebrate that first Christmas day.

When our Savior Jesus came here to stay.

IF YOU KNEW JESUS

 

Jesus died and rose again to pay the cost.

What I gained is better than what I lost.

From the empty cross and empty grave.

His pierced hands and the life he gave.

The ultimate sacrifice that set me free.

My old self is gone and theirs a new me.

Before I was dead, dead in my sin.

But here and now, I'm born again.

That's why I sing and worship him today.

That's why I shout and praise him every day.

That's why I proclaim him King of Kings.

He's my life, love and hope in everything 

TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED

 

Tomorrow is not promised, who can save me.

My choice will determine, where I'll spend eternity.

I proclaim Jesus my Savior, today and every day.

There's no other option, there's no other way.

I still have this moment, there's no reason to delay.

I come to Jesus as a sinner, I repent while I pray.

My sins are forgiven, my whole heart is new.

I am a new creation, and a greater purpose too.

This is the moment when my new life will begin.

Since my old self is gone, I know I'm born again.

My new home is heaven, which I eagerly wait.

When Jesus does come, it's going to be great.

ONLY YOU JESUS

 

I couldn't sleep day or night.

My tears blinded my sight.

I couldn't even read or write.

Only you Jesus can make it right.

I'm blessed with health, and living happily.

But without warning, there was a tragedy.

I never could imagine this would happen to me.

Only you Jesus knew the feeling of this agony.

I was angry at God, too many times before.

It was my own fault, I won't do that anymore.

Only you Jesus can help me through this.

Create a new heart, get rid of my mess.

My ordeal is past, I'm stronger than ever.

I'm closer to my family, we're back together.

I'm saved at last, now I'm born again.

Only you Jesus knew how it all began.

Please Call Me Home

 

I hold on to an ocean of tears.

Carried by burdens all those years.

Full of regrets I can't let go.

It's etched in my heart and soul.

I live in a world I dread to see.

Surrounded by people who hate me.

Loneliness clouds me all day long.

Living in the past where I don't belong.

I PRAY TO JESUS PLEASE CALL ME HOME.

IN HEAVEN WHERE I WON'T BE ALONE.

THE GLORIOUS DAY YOU'LL APPEAR AGAIN.

THIS TIME TO REIGN AND INVITE US IN.

You blessed me with a best friend.

I cried when I saw her life end.

My grief overwhelms me, my life looks bleak.

My hope is in Jesus,  my savior is who I seek.

I won't be complete until I see you.

Embrace the love you have for me too.

I wait for the day to be with you forever.

And spend an eternity in the best place ever.

BROKEN DREAMS

I've reached rock bottom and not only that.

I have no friends, I'm just a doormat.

I see the evil get the upper hand.

I saw the suffering, I didn't understand.

I dream we help out and love everyone.

My dream is shattered, what can be done?

I reach out to seek another friend.

When no one comes, life seems to end.

I'm hanging on to the end of my rope.

I cry out to Jesus who is my hope.

I call out to my savior in this plea.

I need you, Jesus. Please help me.

 

ABC's on Salvation

 

All of us have sinned and gone astray.

But there is hope for us here today.

Call on our Savior Jesus when you pray

Do this now and he will lead the way.

Ever since the moment Jesus came.

Faith reminds us to believe his name.

God sent his Son to save you and me.

He died and rose again to set us free.

If there is one message we need to hear.

Jesus gave a promise to always be near

Keep this in mind whatever you do.

Leave it in his hands and he will help you.

More you know him, the message is clear.

No love is greater than what he did here.

On that wooden cross he showed his love.

Part of a plan that was from God above.

Query minds there can be no doubt.

Repent of your sins, there is no way out.

Salvation is found, so be sorry for your sin.

This moment now, your new life can begin.

Until he returns, let us not forget.

Victory is for those who are already set.

With Jesus help in the life he gave.

X is marked to those who are saved.

You know this message that you have heard.

Zealous hearts are needed to spread the word. 

BROAD RIVER ROAD PRAYER

 

Down Broad River Road, I prayed to you.

That my burden was heavy, please help me through.

I called you Lord, to have mercy on me.

Help a wretched sinner, who's making this plea.

High above in heaven, you heard my cry.

You found me wandering and hurting inside.

You reached out in love and touched this soul.

By taking my life and making me whole.

Down Broad River Road, I prayed to you.

That my troubles never cease, what can I do.

It's so hard to bear, the problems that are there.

So I look to you and offer this prayer.

Help me overcome, the obstacles I face.

Guide me with your spirit, empowered by your grace.

You took my hand and helped me on the way.

Down a narrow path that led me to this day.

So any road I take, I can say a prayer.

I know in my heart, that you are there.

I can count on you, to be my guide.

Good times or bad, you're at my side.

STARTING OVER

 

I feel the tension mounting,

 every second of every day.

The stress overwhelms me,

and nothing goes my way.

I lost my favorite job,

and my options are very few.

I lost my best friend,

what am I going to do?

Starting over was never easy, 

it never was meant to be.

It's always a time of learning,

and not a time of harmony.

My bills keep piling,

and all my cupboards are bare.

I reached out to others,

but no one really cares.

I lost another car,

and all my possessions too.

Here I am starting over,

at the age of sixty-two
