Wild About The Bible

I'm wild about the bible,
I love to read God's book.
I find it very exciting,
every time I look.
It's more than stories,
it's message you can learn.
It was written for you,
in God's own word.
His words are powerful,
it can surely help you.
It contains many promises,
which are all true.
Mediate on his word,
keep it in your heart.
Read the bible daily,
it's a great way to start.
I'm wild about the bible,
I love what I read.
I go through the pages,
and find what I need.
I search for a topic,
inside this holy book.
Then I pick out a verse,
and take a closer look.
I read about Jesus,
how he saved the lost.
It was an ultimate sacrifice,
that paid the cost.
I can rely on the bible,
and faithfully look ahead.
Because I live on the words,
that God had said.

Toby Loves To Read

Toby took a trip to the library.
His eyes lit up as soon as he walked in.
He walked over to the  children's picture book area.
Toby searched shelf after shelf for a special book.
Buddy came along carrying a handful of books.
"Check out the fairy tale section," said Buddy.
"You'll find plenty of classics."
"Great books indeed," Toby said.
"But I am looking for a book that is inspirational."
Toby scanned the non-fiction area.
Wally stood nearby with his stack of books.
"You should get a book on sharks," Wally suggested.
"Great idea!" Toby agreed.
"But I need a book to enlighten me."
Toby continued to search every aisle.
Pete walked past carrying a cart full of books.
"Try the poetry section," Pete suggested.
"All the poem books are great," Toby admitted.
"But I need a book to motivate me."
Toby decided to check out the new released section.
"There it is!" Toby announced.
"This is the book I want to read."
It's Henry's latest book: "BUDDY'S FUN DAY"

A Trip to the Zoo

The alarm goes off and up comes the sun.
It's time to get ready, to have some fun,
You get out of bed and what do you do?
You go on a trip, to visit the zoo.
You go through the gate and what do you see?
The tiger is on the prowl and a lemur is on the tree.
You look at the elephant and the meerkats too.
You see the black bear and the flamingos in view.
Koalas are pretty cute and the baboon is on the go.
Sea lions are swimming and the turtles are slow.
You spy on the gator and the gorilla is on the grass,
You stare at the snake and the fish behind the glass.
Zebra makes you dizzy and the rhino's sitting down.
Monkey is with a baby and the lion is wearing a frown.
You spot a wild leopard and the lizard on the ground,
You find a gray goat and the cougar's running around,
The cheetah goes fast and the jackals can run.
The puma's on the move and otter's having fun.
You follow the weasel and the big horn sheep.
You come across a fox and the panda's asleep.
You watch the penguins walk and all the birds fly,
You notice the kangaroo and the bats are hanging high.
Hippo's is in the water and the giraffe is really tall.
The ostrich is eating and there's a pony in the stall.
You have seen all the animals in your visit at the zoo.
We hope you had fun and learned some thing new.
It's time to go home, we'd love to see you again.
We hope you come back and bring along a friend.

Ten Dollars

Joey was on his way to class when he
accidentally dropped his ten dollar bill.
Mr. Z, a teacher walked down the hallway
and noticed the ten dollars on the floor.
He picked up the bill and placed it
on the desk at the lost and found room.
Billy walked inside the lost and found room,
and spotted the ten dollars on the desk.
He grabbed the money and handed the ten dollars
to Randy in exchange for his set of comic books.
Randy trekked over to Marty's house and handed
the ten dollars to his friend for his music CD.
Marty made his way to Jill's house and
handed her the ten dollars to pay off his debt.
Jill headed over to the grocery store
and handed the  gentleman ten dollars
in exchange for a basket of apples.
The gentleman took a trip to Billy's house
and handed the young boy ten dollars
for picking the apples for his store.
Billy raced back to the lost and found room
and placed the ten dollars back on the desk.
Joey headed over to the lost and found room,
where he found his lost ten dollar bill.

Be Happy !

It's not fun to be pouty,
I rather be silly.
It's not fun to be grumpy,
it's better to be funny.
It's not fun to be crabby,
I like to be zany.
It's not fun to be grouchy,
I rather be happy.
It's not fun to be gloomy,
it's better to be cheery.
It's not fun to be angry,
I like to be friendly.
I don't want to miss,
a life full of bliss.
So no more feeling moody,
I am going to be happy.

Every Hero Has A Story

Buddy is so excited, to tell everyone.
He's going to the library, to have some fun.
He discovered a place, where you can always find.
A variety of books, that will captivate your mind.
Buddy was on hand, for the summer read.
He's looking for books, that he's going to need.
With so much to choose, he couldn't pick one.
He took out twenty and he wasn't done.
Buddy found a great book, on a spine tingling tale.
A non-fiction book about a mammoth whale.
He read a tearful story on a long lost dog.
And a fact filled book on a slimy little frog.
Every Hero Has A Story, is the summer's reading plan.
So visit the library and sign up when you can.
Bring along a friend and take a good look.
There is a great selection, so check out a book.

Toby is the best

Toby walks in the living room and
tries to get his sister's attention.
"Look at me!" said Toby.
"I am the best pirate in the world."
Toby proclaims.
"You are no pirate," said his sister, Betty.
"You have no sword and no ship."
Toby lowers his head and walks away.
Moments later, Toby runs back in the living room.
"Look here," Toby shouts. "I am the best pilot."
"You can't be a pilot," said Betty.
"You never flew a plane and you are afraid of heights."
Once again, Toby turns around and walks away.
Toby sprints back in the room with a shout.
"I am the best doctor in the world.":
"No way!" said Betty.
"You faint at the sight of blood."
Once more, Toby walks away disappointed.
Toby walks back in the living room.
"Look at me now," cried out Toby.
I am a superhero."
Betty shakes her head in disgust.
"OK, OK," Toby said. "You are right."
"I am not a pirate, pilot, doctor or even a superhero."
"But!" said Toby.
"I am the best in one thing."
"What is that?" asked Betty.
"I have great imagination," answered Toby.
"You are right!" Betty agreed.
You certainly have great imagination."

Never Say Can't

         I said the words, "I can't,
not once but countless more.
When you think about it,
you said those words before.
The thoughts we have,
are from what we heard.
Nothing is achieved,
when it's a negative word?
The moment I say I can't,
those words take me down.
It never lifts you up,
or turn things around.
It may become a habit,
and even sometimes a chant.
But we should never ever say,
the two words, "I CAN'T"
