GOD DID IT

 

When good things happen,

I get excited.

The news I received,

that was unexpected.

Opportunities came up,

I found new friends.

A one-time enemy,

now we made amends.

It's moments like this,

I don't take it for granted.

I am very thankful,

that God did it.

My dream came true,

all of the sudden.

It wasn't good luck,

God gets the credit.

Long before I was born,

this was all planned.

Now I look back,

when this all happened.

My life has changed,

I savor every moment.

I am very thankful,

that God did it.

GOOD SAMARITAN

 

There will be someone,

God brings along our path.

They may need encouragement,

or more important than that.

We offer our assistance,

like a good Samaritan.

Whatever they may need,

we do what we can.

God provides the opportunity,

we help out a stranger.

It could even be,

our next door neighbor.

Just a thoughtful deed,

or just our presence.

We lift up their spirits,

and build their confidence.

There's a smile on their face,

joy fills their mind.

And all it takes,

we're friendly and kind.

There's something we can give,

what people may lack.

When we share with others,

we make an immediate impact.

 

IT'S ONLY YOU LORD

 

They say there's many ways,

they get to heaven.

They find what they like,

there's choices they're given.

It's not hard to find,

there's churches everywhere.

Where preachers will say,

what they want to hear.

IT'S ONLY YOU LORD,

THAT IS THE WAY.

IF ONLY THEY BELIEVE,

THEY CAN BE SAVED.

OPEN THEIR EYES LORD,

SO THEY CAN SEE.

SO THEY WILL KNOW,

YOU'RE THE ONE THEY NEED.

They say good works,

they earn their way.

They deserve to go,

when they pass away.

They're not so bad,

compared to the evil.

What they say are lies,

they can ruin many people.

IT'S ONLY YOU LORD,

THAT IS THE WAY.

IF ONLY THEY BELIEVE,

THEY CAN BE SAVED.

OPEN THEIR EYES LORD,

SO THEY CAN SEE.

SO THEY WILL KNOW,

YOU'RE THE ONE THEY NEED.

GOD HEALED ME

 

The doctor told me,

there was no cure.

But there's one thing,

I know for sure.

There is one verse.

that's in the Bible.

God can do anything,

nothing is impossible.

I prayed every day,

with tears in my eyes.

I've kept the faith,

as years went by.

I tried many methods,

to ease my pain.

Despite all my efforts,

it was done in vain.

Some days it was hard,

it hampered my ability.

It took a toll,

that shook me.

But today I can say,

with joy in my heart.

That God healed me,

I have a fresh start.

WE GO TO CHURCH

 

We go to church,

with a purpose.

We gather together,

of great importance.

It's more than,

a Sunday service.

We glorify the Lord,

in his presence.

It's a place of worship,

we take part in this.

Where God is revered,

for how great he is.

We come before him,

and we sing along.

We express our adoration,

in prayer and song.

Even when we don't,

have a great voice.

We know the Bible states,

it's a joyful noise.

So we look up,

our hands are raised.

We honor the Lord,

with songs of praise.
