WORDS TO PONDER

 

In any good relationship,

there's love for one another.

But when there's a disagreement,

there's a problem we can encounter.

Each one can take a stance,

and react in a bad manner.

If we're not careful,

it'll get worse than ever.

There will be times,

we face some friction.

We can always try,

to find a solution.

The way to start,

we do our part.

We look at ourselves,

what's in our heart.

Don't stoke the fire,

and release any anger.

There are many ways,

to settle the matter.

If the conflict continues,

there's never a winner.

It takes both sides,

to make it better.

DIVINE REVELATION

 

I am accountable,

in what I say and do.

It's time to examine myself,

but through God's view.

God brought to light,

what I had hidden.

That inside of me,

there was hate God forbidden.

He opened my eyes,

what I failed to see.

That inside my heart,

there was bitterness in me.

What God made known,

my anger filled with fire.

It doesn't bring righteousness,

that God desires.

He opened my mind,

that I had sinned.

Now that I repented,

I know I was forgiven.

What God had exposed,

it was a divine revelation.

So now I'm headed,

in the right direction.

IT'S GOD'S WORD

 

Inside the Bible,

God speaks to us.

So we know firsthand,

he's the one we can trust.

By reading God's Word,

we find it's all true.

Because what God said,

he will surely do.

Open up the Bible,

it's time to show.

There are many verses,

we need to know.

Discover what he said,

the promises are his.

Watch it all unfold,

and see how great he is.

What the Bible reveals,

is not just information.

God provided his Word,

for our transformation.

You can also find,

they are not idle Words.

They are your life,

so it's better to learn.

Read the Word of God,

keep it in your heart.

Treasure all his Words,

never let it depart.

Our faith will not waver.

if we make it our goal.

To read the Bible daily,

it's food for our soul.

JESUS IS ALL I NEED

 

There's nothing wrong,

that we have desires.

To achieve a goal,

or even to thrive.

To purchase material things,

that are so appealing.

And there's even more,

but as for me.

JESUS IS ALL I NEED.

If I want anything,

I have a credit card.

So to make a choice,

it's not so hard.

But if I have plenty,

or even if I have less.

The most important thing,

I remind myself this.

JESUS IS ALL I NEED.

I've seen the ads, 

every day on TV.

It's not for me,

because what I believe.

King Solomon was right,

in what he said.

All is vanity,

so I choose instead.

JESUS IS ALL I NEED.

HOPE FOR THOSE WHO MOURN

 

Tears of sorrow,

are streaming down my face.

Pool of tears lay now,

on my pillow case.

They keep pouring out,

they never stop.

It leaves me torn,

and also worn out.

There's nothing on this earth,

that can fill my void.

So it leaves me stricken,

that I can't avoid.

But I have this hope,

that keeps me going.

My faith stands firm,

even when I'm grieving,

My help comes from the Lord,

that I am certain.

It's not the question if,

but it's about when.

It is God's will,

and done his way.

And in his time,

while I pray.

There's nothing impossible,

when I include him.

God chooses the moment,

when it begins.

WHAT A JOURNEY

 

I packed my belongings,

and left my hometown.

I drove down south,

and looked around.

I asked the Lord,

where I should be?

It was a journey,

God chose for me.

The time it took,

it was worth the wait.

And it all began,

in the summer of 98.

God chose South Carolina,

what a journey it's been.

Including the moment,

I was born again.

When I look back,

my life wasn't easy.

There were tough times,

but God was with me.

In every circumstance,

God helped me through.

I developed perseverance,

and endurance too.

I drew closer to God,

and I abide in him.

I became spiritually stronger,

than way back then.

So my journey continues,

and this I know.

God has a plan,

no matter where I go.

BIBLE AND A PRAYER

 

A father, mother and daughter,

left from a church gathering.

Where they spent time,

praising and singing.

When suddenly a loud pop,

their car blew a tire.

It crashed into a tree,

and it started on fire.

The neighbors heard the sound,

they quickly ran over.

They searched the car,

to find any survivor.

The father didn't make it,

they checked on the mother.

They saw her grab a bible,

and placed it near her daughter.

The mother smiled at her,

and soon she died.

They checked on the daughter,

and found her still alive.

The neighbors prayed together,

for God to help her.

She needed the Lord,

now more than ever.

It's two years later,

she's no longer a teenager.

She goes to church,

and sings in the choir.

Her future is all planned.

she wants to be a teacher.

And she reads the bible,

that belonged to her mother.

LIFE THAT MATTERS

 

Live your life that matters,

let's live for others.

And it all begins,

when we love one another.

Live your life with a purpose,

seek out those in need.

You become a blessing,

for any good deed.

Live your life with good works,

that shows you care.

Say some encouraging words,

like I'll be there.

Live your life with kindness,

in all you say and do.

Don't be afraid to say,

that I love you.

Live your life with a smile,

do this every day.

Show it to everyone,

it's like sunshine on display.

Live your life for Jesus,

do it for him.

It's never done in vain,

you can be assured of it.

NEW YEAR

 

This year is flying by,

and soon a new year.

When we look back,

it becomes very clear.

We had good times,

sometimes it was bad.

And we've been blessed,

we don't forget that.

So now we look ahead,

and we stay focused.

There will be challenges,

that will test us. 

Because we can't ignore,

there's violence everywhere.

The hatred is spreading,

we can't avoid it anywhere.

But we have hope,

during times of trouble.

We can overcome it,

even when we struggle.

Because we have Jesus,

the one we rely on.

Remember what he can do,

and also what he's done.

So in the new year,

let's continue to pray.

We read the bible,

and help someone today.

So whatever we can do,

we have this assurance.

God is in control,

so let's make a difference.

WHY JESUS CAME

 

It's our Savior Jesus,

who came down from heaven.

He became like us,

and lived back then.

He lived this life,

to fulfill God's plan.

He came to save us,

every woman and man.

The time he spent,

the impact Jesus made.

The hope he's given us,

the love he displayed.

He healed so many,

a lame man can walk.

Blind man can see,

while another can talk.

Then the ultimate sacrifice,

he paid for our sins.

That's why Jesus came,

it's where salvation begins.

And now we wait,

he will come again.

To take us home,

to be with him. 

WHAT THE BIBLE REVEALS

 

There were amazing things,

that happened in God's word.

Some it seemed impossible,

but not for the Lord.

The sun stood still,

parting of the Red Sea.

A donkey could talk,

 blind man can see.

Water turned into wine,

and how Jesus arrived.

Valley of dry bones,

that all came alive.

God fed the Israelites,

with manna from heaven.

A prophet named Elijah, 

was fed by a raven.

Moses struck a rock,

and the water flowed.

Leprosy man was healed,

a dead man rose.

Grass wet with dew,

and yet the rag was dry.

Peter caught a fish,

with a coin inside.

A demon possessed man,

evil spirits taken out.

There is even more,

I could tell you about.

But now it's time,

you open up the book.

The bible will reveal more,

when you take a look.

BECAUSE OF JESUS

 

I've had my setbacks,

more than I remember.

Despite those difficult times,

there was my Savior.

When all seemed lost,

he pulled me out of darkness.

He restored my soul,

and there was his forgiveness.

Because of Jesus,

I was saved.

Even though I sinned,

and mistakes I made.

He came to rescue me,

when he heard my prayer.

So my past sins,

they're no longer there,

WHAT WOULD I DO,

WITHOUT GOD'S MERCY?

WHAT WOULD I DO,

WITHOUT MY SAVIOR?

WHAT WOULD I DO,

WITHOUT GOD'S AMAZING GRACE?

WHEN MY SINS DESERVED DEATH,

JESUS TOOK MY PLACE.

Throughout my life,

I chased my fleeting dreams.

In pursuit of happiness,

or so it seems.

It turned out,

I was fooling myself.

When deep inside,

I hid my sinful self.

But there was hope,

there was my Savior.

I needed his help,

more than ever.

Because of Jesus,

I was set free.

I thank him everyday,

what he's done for me.

WHAT WOULD I DO,

WITHOUT GOD'S MERCY?

WHAT WOULD I DO,

WITHOUT MY SAVIOR?

WHAT WOULD I DO,

WITHOUT GOD'S AMAZING GRACE?

WHEN MY SINS DESERVED DEATH,

JESUS TOOK MY PLACE.

WE WORSHIP THE LORD

 

We're going to church,

it's our place on Sunday.

Where we gather together,

on this special day.

It's for all of us,

to take part in this.

To glorify the Lord,

in the presence of his holiness.

It's time for thankfulness,

a time to rejoice.

We lift our hands,

and raise our voice.

We join the choir,

to sing songs of hymns.

To our Savior Lord,

we give praise to him.

So every song we sing,

every prayer we pray.

We remember the reason,

why we do this today.

It's more than the music,

it's more than the song.

It's more than a feeling,

we worship the Lord!
