SAY NO TO UNGODLINESS

 

Beware of false teaching,

and the lies they say.

They try to convince us,

it's better their way.

They make it appealing,

with intent to persuade.

Our knowledge of God's Word,

then comes into play.

God gave us the Bible,

so we know for certain.

How we live for God,

and we obey him.

Without this knowledge,

we can be deceived.

But with God's Word,

we know what to believe.

So we read the Bible,

we're able to discern.

What God really said,

so we won't be fooled.

When we gain this knowledge,

then we will know.

When something is wrong,

we just say NO!

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

 

We got to be ready,

we got to be alert.

We're in a battle,

that we can't ignore.

There's a spiritual warfare,

for our very soul.

The only way to win,

is help from the Lord.

We got to be equipped,

we use God's armor.

To withstand Satan schemes.

who started this war.

There's a battle going on,

in the world we live in.

It's not against the flesh,

but what is unseen.

The evil is against us,

but we're not alone.

We have God's presence,

and we fully know.

God provided the armor,

so we can stand firm.

And in the end,

we're going to win.

IT'S SUNDAY MORNING

 

It's Sunday morning,

the people are arriving.

They gather at church,

where everyone is invited.

They go to church,

to worship God only.

To honor him with songs,

and bring him glory.

They come before the Lord,

with joyful noise.

No matter what song,

or how good their voice.

The band plays the music,

the choir is singing.

All the people take part,

in the service praising.

They hear the message,

the pastor is preaching.

They even take time,

to do some praying.

They fellowship with others,

in their bible study.

In the house of the Lord,

where people are friendly.

GOD IS OUR REFUGE

 

I had my hopes,

this was the place.

Until I encountered evil,

and accusation I faced.

I didn't see it coming,

when I was accused.

My future was in jeopardy,

my life was doomed.

I had to shield myself,

and I was shaking.

In my darkest moment,

I started praying.

I kept repeating,

"I can't do this."

"I need your help,"

"in my time of distress."

I was found innocent,

and I forgave her.

Since then I recovered,

I had to start over.

As bad as it was,

it drew me closer.

To the one I need,

my Lord and Savior. 

IT'S ABOUT GOD'S WILL

 

My goals have changed,

especially what I wanted.

Now it's about God's will,

and I'm  just getting started.

To fulfill my purpose,

that's what I'm striving for.

To serve the Lord,

and praise him even more.

With every task I face,

I depend on the Lord.

To provide me strength,

and knowledge of his Word.

My focus is clear,

that I want to see.

I want to become,

the person I should be.

So the works I do,

and the words I say.

I do it for the Lord,

and bring him glory today.

With my new life,

my future looks brighter.

Since I gave my life,

to my Lord and Savior.
