MY CHURCH EXPERIENCE

 

I head off to a place,

that has a cross on top.

Where a large crowd gathers,

this is where I stop.

It's a local church, 

I became a member.

We stand in our belief,

Jesus is our Savior.

Every time I go,

I receive a friendly greeting.

I've made many friends, 

I'm treated like family.

We worship our God,

with a heartfelt praise.

We glorify our Lord,

when we sing and pray.

We listen to our Pastor,

the sermon he preaches.

About the Good News,

and what Jesus teaches.

He quotes Bible verses,

from the New Testament.

He delivers a message,

of hope and encouragement.

This is my experience,

I share with you.

I pray that in your church,

you experience this too.

 

STORY OF CHRISTMAS

 

The story of Christmas begins,

with a huge announcement.

It's in the Gospel of Luke,

in the New Testament.

"Behold in a town of David,

a Savior has been born."

The news spread fast,

across every town.

The angel revealed this,

to the shepherds.

They decided to go,

after the message they heard.

So they hurried off,

to the city of Bethlehem.

They saw the baby Jesus,

just like the angel told them.

This was God's plan,

a pivotal moment in history.

The promise of a Messiah,

foretold in the prophecy.

It's the day we celebrate,

the birth of Jesus.

It's the greatest gift,

God gave to us.

OUR RELIGIOUS BELIEF

 

There are many religions,

with different beliefs.

Which one do we choose,

which one do we believe?

Different doctrines can certainly,

stand in our way.

The right thing to do,

what does the Bible say?

Because what we hear,

it may not be true.

But inside the Bible,

it is the truth.

It's very important,

we read the Bible daily.

It's etched in our mind,

so we're not blind to see.

Christians should beware,

of false teaching.

We need God's help,

to discern his Word correctly.

The evil uses deception,

so we would sin.

We rely on God's Word,

our life depends on it.

BLOGGING WITH A PURPOSE

 

In March of 2011,

it was revealed to me.

God planned something new,

I was eager to see.

God's purpose for me,

was beyond what I expected.

But I was willing to do,

what God had planned.

God sent me a friend,

that would play a role.

She knew I wrote poetry,

but I didn't have a goal.

She encouraged me,

to pursue blogging.

I designed my website,

and that was the beginning.

Now fourteen years later,

I continue to blog today.

With every Christian poem,

I post it every Friday.

I thank God every time,

before I send it.

The words God inspired me,

for everyone to read it.
