HELP FROM GOD

 

Even though I failed,

I won't stop living.

Because moment like this,

is when I start praying.

With the help from God,

I won't give up.

Because of God's Word,

I know there's hope.

So when God said,

"he would never forsake."

I can rely on him,

for the promise he made.

God uses this moment,

to draw me closer.

He has a plan,

my life is not over.

So the end result,

I develop perseverance.

With the Lord's guidance,

I run with endurance.

I say with confidence,

I will not fail.

Because God will help me,

and I will prevail.  

TOMORROW NEVER CAME

 

It was a roller coaster life,

and I went for a ride.

With my best friend,

always at my side.

I lived those days,

like they would never end.

Because each day began,

there was my friend.

So I planned ahead,

what the future would be.

A time of happiness,

that we would see.

But tomorrow never came,

so my life wasn't the same.

But I can learn from this,

and I can make a change.

I turned to God,

and waited for something new.

Trust in his ways,

and what I should do.

So if tomorrow comes,

I will start early.

Include God in my plans,

and I will be ready.

IMPORTANCE OF THE BIBLE

 

I open up the bible,

and read it every day.

To renew my mind,

what God had to say.

It keeps me focused,

what I need to do.

To follow God's way,

and to please God too.

I open up the Bible,

and read another verse.

It tells me about God,

and how great he is.

I read about his love,

and his amazing grace.

He's a merciful God,

who's worthy of our praise.

I open up the Bible,

it's not just a book.

It's the Word of God,

it helps if I look.

It's better to know,

and always to obey.

It's important to read it,

I want to be saved.

MIRACLES STILL HAPPEN

 

A man with leprosy,

was healed back then.

You hear about it now,

miracles still happen.

A prayer will be answered,

just wait and see.

It's amazing what God does,

God even healed me.

A lady with cancer,

and now she's cured.

And this all happened,

because God is good.

Their baby was dying.

with a serious illness.

But suddenly she's healthy,

because God did this.

You may have heard,

people had witnessed.

A man can walk,

when before he was crippled.

The good news is,

miracles still happen.

God will do it again,

as he did back then. 

TODAY

 

Today, I may not know,

if it's my last day.

But I do know,

God has the final say.

So my focus now,

what's in front of me.

In the presence of God,

so I am ready.

Today, I may not know,

what a day will bring.

But I do know,

the Lord knows everything.

Our God is sovereign,

over every living thing.

So I live by faith,

not what I see.

Today, I may not know,

what is God's plan.

But I do know,

he directs my path.

So whatever may happen,

whether good or bad.

Today, the Lord has made,

I'll rejoice and be glad.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

 

What pleases the Lord,

is our obedience to his word.

So this is the way,

we commit to the Lord.

The importance of his word,

should never be debated.

Our life depends on it,

it can't be overstated.

The scriptures tell us,

for all to hear.

Hate what is evil,

and love must be sincere.

Be compassionate and humble,

devote yourselves to prayer.

Be merciful to others,

and forgive one another.

Let your gentleness,

be evident too.

Think about such things,

in everything you do.

These are bible verses,

taken from God's Word.

Put it into practice,

what you have heard.

                                                                                 

NO REASON TO DOUBT

 

We're caught in a struggle,

and we start to doubt.

We begin to feel,

we're stressed out.

The troubles hit us,

like a crashing wave.

Fear may creep in,

we start to cave.

We may even worry,

how bad it can be.

Our emotions blind us,

we fail to see.

That our Savior Lord,

will never leave us.

There's no reason to doubt,

we rely on Jesus.

He knows our limitations,

and when we're weak.

So it's with Jesus,

we should always seek.

When we face any trials,

it's the moment we pray.

Jesus will help us,

do not be dismayed.

REMAIN FAITHFUL

 

My hair is gray,

my body is weak.

I'm slowing down,

I'm past my peak.

The less I do,

but yet I still.

I remain strong,

to do God's will.

My bones tell me,

what I can't do.

So in these times,

I try something new.

I work on my garden,

and walk even more.

But what hasn't changed,

I serve the Lord.

I need my glasses,

to improve my sight.

I need a break,

every morning and night.

Sometimes I forget,

what I wanted to say.

But one thing I remember,

when it's time to pray.

DO IT FOR THE LORD

 

The clock keeps ticking,

another day has gone by.

A new day has begun,

so this is my time.

I make it my goal,

to do something good.

It's not for myself,

I do it for the Lord.

It is my commitment,

to serve the Lord again.

I pray to God,

is where I begin.

I'm on a mission,

that God put me in.

I may not be qualified,

but I trust in him.

Because in my weakness,

won't hamper God's ability.

He will use me,

what I was meant to be.

I walk with God,

and become a blessing.

Let the Lord's light shine,

to bring him glory.

THE TRUTH

 

Let the truth be told,

Jesus is the one.

There's no other way,

it's only through God's Son. 

Let's share the message,

so everyone can hear.

Seek the Lord now,

while he is near.

Let it be known,

repent of your sins.

It's the very moment,

when salvation begins.

They're life will change, 

they'll be made new.

That's what Jesus does,

and more he'll do.

Let's share the news,

before it's too late.

Talk about God's grace,

and his love is great.

If they hear God's word,

they'll know the truth.

Jesus died on the cross,

so they can be saved too.

DIRECTED BY THE LORD

 

There was this lady,

I had a pleasure to meet.

Who became my mentor,

at a prayer retreat.

I joined the group,

and she was my teacher.

I followed her lead,

and became a church member.

My Christian life began,

and my spiritual life grew.

Directed by the Lord,

and his help too.

By reading God's Word, 

I became a believer.

And with my commitment,

I became his follower.

When the church closed,

then it was clear.

There was a new path,

God would lead me there.

So here I am, 

I help out the elderly.

And I do this,

to bring God the glory.

VIEW GOD CORRECTLY

 

Yes, God is love,

but he's also just.

He provided us commandments,

so obedience is a must.

Yes, God is merciful,

to those who sin.

But we must repent,

in order to be forgiven.

Yes, God is full of grace,

an unmerited favor.

But we must seek Jesus,

as Lord and Savior.

Yes, God hears our prayers,

we should expect an answer.

But according to his will, 

there's no way other.

Yes, God is a healer,

but he says No at times.

God knows what's best,

when we ask why.

Yes, God blesses us,

but we should not be forgetful.

We should tell God,

that we are thankful. 

HOW WE COPE

 

They're places to go,

and I'm running late.

I'm trying to stay calm,

but it's not looking great.

I'm caught in a traffic,

that remains still.

In my moment of anxiety,

I remember God's will.

WE FACE THIS MOMENT,

FIXED ON THE LORD.

WE RENEW OUR MIND, 

BASED ON GOD'S WORD.

WE PRAY TO THE LORD,

BECAUSE HE'S OUR HOPE.

HE WILL HELP US,

THIS IS HOW WE COPE.

Anytime I worry,

I pick up my pace.

I keep my mind busy,

so I don't have to face.

The hard times ahead,

I like to forget.

This is the time,

to have the right mindset.

WE FACE THIS MOMENT,

FIXED ON THE LORD.

WE RENEW OUR MIND,

BASED ON GOD'S WORD.

WE PRAY TO THE LORD,

BECAUSE HE'S OUR HOPE.

HE WILL HELP US,
