BECAUSE OF GOD'S GRACE

 

I've been through tough times,

I've cried many tears.

Even tragedy struck me,

there was loneliness and fears.

During these difficult times,

I couldn't change anything.

But I prayed to the Lord,

who can do everything.

Because I already knew,

about God's sovereignty.

So hope was not lost,

in my times of adversity.

There were some times,

I thought this was it.

But God had a plan, 

he chose the moment.

When I faced these trials,

no matter how bad it was.

There's a Bible verse,

that reminded me this.

What I went through,

I relied on God's power.

Because of God's grace,

I was made stronger.

RIGHT PERSPECTIVE

 

I may not have the voice,

for any songs I sing.

But I can praise God,

and thank him for everything.

I may struggle at times,

with words I want to say.

But it doesn't stop me,

when I go and pray.

I may do good works,

with a clear conscience.

But first and foremost,

God wants my obedience.

I may have my desires,

but I stop and consider.

Is it aligned with God's will,

I know his ways are better.

I may not know,

what a day may bring forth.

But I rely on the Lord,

who directs my course.

I may not be qualified,

what God calls me to do.

It's what he does through me,

including preach the good news.

GOOD FRIDAY

 

All four of the gospels,

tells us this story.

A day after Passover,

in the early morning.

The Jewish officials arrived,

they had Jesus arrested.

All his disciples fled,

just like Jesus had predicted.

Chief priests and the elders,

wanted to kill Jesus.

They falsely accused him,

even though he was sinless.

They thought they succeeded,

but God had a plan.

Jesus died for the sins,

of every woman and man.

Before our Savior died,

he said "it was finished."

This was not the end,

our hope was not diminished.

We call it Good Friday,

because Jesus saved us.

The prophecy was fulfilled,

we can truthfully say this.
