Make Me Laugh!

Pete walked down the hallway at his school.
He noticed his friend Jeff leaning at his locker
with a big frown on his face.
"What's the matter?" Pete asked him.
The young boy responded quickly,
"I am waiting for someone to make me laugh."
Pete's eyes lit up. He pulled out his little joke book.
He delivered his funniest monologue in perfect form.
But Jeff's facial expression never changed.
Buddy came along and heard Jeff's comment.
So Buddy took his turn and shared to his friend an amusing story.
But Jeff leaned back with the same frown on his face.
Wally was eager to try.
He stood next to Jeff and proudly told him his best joke.
But Jeff continued to display a frown on his face.
Cathy walked toward him and started to giggle. Jeff became curious.
"What's so funny?," Jeff asked her.
Cathy ignored him and continued to chuckle.
Wally, Buddy and Pete began to laugh.
Jeff questioned his friends "What is so hilarious?"
The rest of the class joined in and started to chuckle too.
Jeff was persistent, he asked his friends again,
"Why are you all laughing?"
Cathy and the rest of the class paid no attention to him,
they laughed, and laughed and laughed.
Jeff's mood changed immediately.
He began to feel funny.
He joined in with his comical laugh.
The laughter continued until the school bell rang.
They all walked back to their classroom
with a big smile on their faces. Jeff pulled Cathy aside,
"You never told me," Jeff asked her, "what was so funny. "
Cathy grinned back at him and answered. "I made you laugh, didn't  I?". Photobucket

He sits down and starts to read the first book.
He jots down some notes what he likes about each book.
After he finished the last book in the stack,
he noticed the time on the clock. "Oh, no!" Buddy wailed.
He grabbed his note pad and jots down his favorite books.
He stares at the clock again, he turns the page and continues
to write. Then he lets out a big sigh, "I'm finished."
He takes a deep breath. "Here it is!" Buddy announced,
"My latest book review. "
"Seven great picture books for you."

I Know An Author

I know an author who swallowed a book,
I don't know why he swallowed a book,
he gave me a funny look.
I know an author who swallowed some art,
He was really smart to swallow some art.
He swallowed the art to go inside the book,
I don't know why he swallowed a book,
he gave me a funny look.
I know an author who swallowed a word,
That's what I heard he swallowed a word.
He swallowed the word to go with the art,
He swallowed the art to go inside the book,
I don't know why he swallowed a book,
he gave me a funny look.
I know an author who swallowed a pen,
He did it again, he swallowed a pen.
He swallowed the pen to add to the word,
He swallowed the word to go with the art,
He swallowed the art to go inside the book.
I don't know why he swallowed the book,
he gave me a funny look.
I know an author who swallowed a Query letter.
He felt much better when he swallowed a letter.
He swallowed the letter to go with the pen,
He swallowed the pen to add to the word,
He swallowed the word to go with the art,
He swallowed the art to go inside the book.
I don't know why he swallowed the book,
he gave me a funny look.
I know an author who swallowed a box,
He looked like an ox when he swallowed a box.
He swallowed the box to go with the letter,
He swallowed the letter to go with the pen,
He swallowed the pen to add to the word,
He swallowed the word to go with the art,
He swallowed the art to go inside the book,
I don't know why he swallowed a book,
he gave me a funny look.
I know an author who swallowed a stamp.
He is a scamp for swallowing the stamp.
He swallowed the stamp to go on the box,
He swallowed the box to go with the letter,
He swallowed the letter to go with the pen,
He swallowed the pen to add to the word,
He swallowed the word to go with the art,
He swallowed the art to go inside the book,
I don't know why he swallowed the book,
he gave me a funny look.
He coughed up a box with his book and Query letter inside.
He mailed the box to a publishing house.
The editor opened the box and found the author's book inside.
Will the editor publish the author's book?
Stay tuned........................................................
