GOD IS GOOD

 

God is my Father, 

he is my Lord.

He is full of mercy,

and faithful to his word.

He is my comforter,

the Father of compassion.

He is my hope,

the God of my salvation.

I'M THANKFUL FOR HIS BLESSINGS,

AND WHAT HE'S DONE FOR ME.

Miracles still happen,

there's even healing too.

It's truly amazing,

what God can do.

Broken hearts are mended,

families back together.

God has no limits,

he's like no other.

For great is the Lord,

his power and majesty.

Most worthy of praise,

we declare his glory.

We marvel what he's done,

and also his holiness.

We proclaim his salvation,

and for his forgiveness.

When we talk about Jesus,

How gracious is the Lord,

what I can do.

I may not be qualified,

I begin each day,

with a prayer I'll say.

It's during these times,

there's comfort in knowing.

If there's any problem,

Even in my struggle,

I know I will see.

When I am weak,

soon it'll be gone.

KATHY'S QUEST

 

Kathy had a desire, 

not just for anything.

But life of significance,

it would mean everything.

What could it be?

was always on her mind.

So she took a trip,

and left her possessions behind.

She traveled to see,

a well known preacher.

Famous for words of wisdom,

that could really help her.

The preacher stood nearby,

teaching on God's word.

Tears filled Kathy's eyes,

on the message she heard.

"That Jesus loves you,

he wants to help you."

"He is your savior.

so believe it's true."

Kathy gave her life,

to her savior Lord.

She was forgiven,

and her soul restored.

Kathy's back home again,

all because she prayed.

She has a new life, 

since she was saved.

She found her purpose,

now she looks ahead.

She gave up her ways,

and do God's will instead.

I NEED YOU JESUS

 

My emotions betray me,

when there is trouble.

It's my self-control,

that I still struggle.

So I need a Savior,

to help me through.

I need you, Jesus,

to make me new.

I LAY DOWN MY PROBLEMS,

EVEN FROM MY PAST.

I GIVE IT ALL TO YOU,

SO I CAN BE FREE AT LAST.

I BRING MY BROKENNESS,

AND THE TEARS I SHED.

I RELY ON YOU,

AND PROMISES YOU SAID.

I had my doubts, 

I had my fears,

I lost my friend,

that brought me tears.

My worries consume me,

and now I'm weak.

So I need a Savior,

it's you I seek.

I LAY DOWN MY PROBLEMS,

EVEN FROM MY PAST.

I GIVE IT ALL TO YOU,

SO I CAN BE FREE AT LAST.

I BRING MY BROKENNESS,

AND THE TEARS I SHED.

I RELY ON YOU,

AND PROMISES YOU SAID.

WHEN I PRAY

 

I got worries and fears,

I play it in my head.

I let it built up,

I should seek God instead.

I remember his promises,

they are all true.

God is with me,

so I know what to do.

SO WHEN I PRAY,

FOR GOD TO ANSWER ME.

I KNOW AND BELIEVE,

THAT I WILL SEE.

THOUGH MY TROUBLES LINGER,

HIS HELP IS COMING SOON.

HE'LL GIVE ME STRENGTH,

AND KEEP ME ATTUNE.

When I face any problems,

I need to learn.

There's nothing more certain,

than reading God's word.

That's where I'll find,

that God really cares.

And he always listens,

to all my prayers.

SO WHEN I PRAY,

FOR GOD TO ANSWER ME.

I KNOW AND BELIEVE,

THAT I WILL SEE.

THOUGH MY TROUBLES LINGER,

HIS HELP IS COMING SOON.

HE'LL GIVE ME STRENGTH,

START WITH PRAYER

 

     I bow my head,

I start to pray.

I ask the Lord,

to help me today.

I know he will,

I really believe.

I rely on him,

for everything I need.

So every morning,

before I start,

I pray to the Lord,

with an open heart.

Then something happens,

I can't explain.

I raise my voice,

and praise his name.

I get this feeling,

I need to stand.

I take this moment,

to raise my hand.

I feel his presence,

I start to sing.

I thank the Lord,

for every good thing.

I pull out my bible,

I start to read.

The promise he made,

he will always lead.

So wherever I go, 

I live by this faith.

The Lord is with me,

with each step I take.

 

COMMIT TO THE LORD

 

I give you, Lord,

my heart, soul and mind.

I give you, Lord,

my voice, hands and eyes.

I give you my life,

I'm here to serve you.

Send your Holy Spirit,

and make me new.

So let your Spirit,

shine on and in.

Let your Spirit,

bring me peace within.

Let your Spirit,

guide me to your truth.

So in all I do,

I'll always honor you.

I give you, Lord,

my burdens and my tears.

I give you, Lord,

my troubles and my fears.

I give up my ways,

I'm here to follow you.

Send your Holy Spirit,

and make me new.

So let your Spirit,

come and sanctify me.

So I become,

what you created me to be.

Let your Spirit,

teach me your ways.

I will worship you,

rest of my days. 

LIVE FOR JESUS

 

I look inside my home,

I see everything I own.

But one day will come,

this will all be gone.

Nothing I can keep,

so I think about this.

What did I accomplish,

is this what life is?

It's more than possessions,

or what I gain.

So I should never do,

what's done in vain.

I know there is more,

and not just for me.

Now the question is,

what could it be?

The earth has nothing,

that I desire,

There's something better,

than anything I acquire.

I find it's Jesus,

and he's been waiting.

With his open arms,

he said "abide in me"

I trust in him,

and embrace his plan.

He changed my life,

 only one who can.

So I live for Jesus,

I have all I need.

With a new purpose,

now I can proceed. 

ACT OF KINDNESS

 

Let's open our arms,

let's open our heart.

Let's start right now,

and do our part.

We can reach out,

and do a good deed.

We can lend a hand,

to someone in need.

Send a greeting card,

to show you care.

You can visit someone,

when no one else is there.

Even a warm embrace,

will do something good.

Or surprise a neighbor,

and do some handiwork.

Our words can be cheerful,

the way we say hello.

You can say I love you,

to someone you know.

An act of kindness,

in the things we do.

Is seen by God,

who will bless you.  

INSIDE THE BIBLE

 

Inside the bible,

is God's own word.

It was written for us,

so we can learn.

By reading the scriptures,

we come to understand.

That God created us,

we're part of his plan.

When we study the bible,

we find who God is.

His words can help us,

it's important to know this.

Then we discover,

what we need to do.

So read the bible,

and pray to God too.

Inside the bible,

it contains God's word.

There are bible verses,

we need to learn.

We can start with,

John three-sixteen.

There's only one way,

his words can mean.

God provided the way,

to save everyone.

And salvation is found,

in God's own Son.

So everyone should read,

God's point of view.

By this we'll know,

we can be saved too.

TAKE THE TIME

 

Take the time,

to say a prayer.

To our savior Lord,

whose always there.

He promised us all,

he'll never walk away.

So go right ahead,

and pray to him today.

Take the time,

give thanks to God,

For his amazing grace,

that we all got.

All his blessings,

so many to declare.

All his provisions,

we see everywhere.

Take the time,

to help those in need.

So we glorify the Lord,

for any good deed.

Let our good works,

where love is shown.

That what we do,

we make Jesus known.

Take the time,

to read God's word.

God speaks to us,

so we can learn.

His purpose and plans,

that includes everyone.

So what he said,

it will be done.
