Wild about the bible

I'm wild about the bible,
I love to read God's book.
I find it very exciting,
every time I look.
It's more than stories,
it's lessons you can learn.
It was written for you,
in God's own word.
His word is powerful,
it can surely help you.
It contains many promises,
which are all true.
Mediate on his word,
keep it in your heart.
Read the bible daily,
it's a great way to start.
I'm wild about the bible,
I love what I read.
I go through the pages,
and find what I need.
I search for a topic,
inside this holy book.
Then I pick out a verse,
and take a closer look.
I read about Jesus,
how he saved the lost.
It was an ultimate sacrifice,
that paid the cost.
I can rely on the bible,
and faithfully look ahead.
Because I live on the words,
that God had said.

Just a Kid

She stands at the line, with her heart pounding fast.
It's the game winning point, her chance at last.
The crowd looks on, as they patiently wait.
She is ready to serve, this moment could be great.
A serve over the net, and the team could win.
A thrill and hope, that she holds in.
She hits the ball and it flies through the air.
There's a groan from the coach, the ball hits a chair.
The coach jumps up and yells out loud.
He calls for a sub and takes her out.
She's just a kid, who signed up to play.
So give her a chance, don't take it away.
Keep this in mind and don't ever forget.
She's just a kid, not a pro yet.

An Author

I began to imagine it.
I sat down to outline it.
Now I can write it.
Then I have to revise it.
I'll make sure to edit it.
Now I can post it.
Be sure to blog it.
Then I can submit it.
I won't forget to query it.
It's time to send it.
They're going to publish it.
Now I'm ready to sell it.
All my friends will buy it.
They'll love to read it.
Now I believe it.
I AM AN AUTHOR!

Clever Grocer ?

Ben owns a grocery store.
He put up a sign on the window.
Tomatoes, 25 cents a piece
or three for a dollar.
The first customer walked in and complained,
"That's not fair!" the young lady declared.
"I should get four tomatoes for a dollar."
Ben apologized and provided the customer,
four tomatoes for a dollar.
The second customer stepped in
and made a big fuss about the sign.
"Your sign can't be right," he said.
"It should be four tomatoes instead of three."
Ben agreed with the old man
and sold him four tomatoes for a dollar.
Ben's friend, Charlie stood near by,
and watched the whole episode.
Charlie pulled Ben aside.
"Aren't you forgetting something?" Charlie asked.
"You should correct the mistake on your sign."
"What mistake?" Ben wondered.
"Before the sign was up," Ben said.
"Customers bought only one tomato."

Reading is Fun

Check out the cover, look inside the book.
Turn the page over, take a closer look.
Read the first line, imagine what you find.
You uncover a story, that will dazzle your mind.
You find every page, has a story to tell.
All about the characters and places they dwell.
This exciting new tale, begins on page one.
You soon discover, that reading is fun.
Open up a book, read the first page.
The scene will emerge, just like a stage.
You discover another world, inside this book.
The adventure begins, the moment you look.
You come across a story, where a tale is told.
You read every word, and watch it unfold.
The excitement continues, beyond page one.
You experience the thrill, that reading is fun.

Ode to my friends.

Give a smile, give a hand.
Give some love to a friend.
Give some comfort, give some care.
Give some joy, where it's rare.
Pay a visit and go say hi.
Share this moment to the shy.
Say a prayer, wipe a tear.
Greet someone with a cheer.
Take this time when you can.
Give some hope till the end.
Give a smile, give a hand.
Give some love to a friend.

Make Me Laugh

Pete walked down the hallway at Liberty High School.
He noticed his friend Jeff leaning at his locker
with a frown on his face.
"What's the matter?" Pete asked him.
The young boy responded quickly,
"I am waiting for someone to make me laugh."
Pete's eyes lit up. "I'll make you laugh!"
"Why did the singer climb up a ladder?"
"To reach the high notes," Pete said.
Jeff's facial expression never changed.
Buddy came along and overheard their conversation.
"I'll make you laugh," Buddy proudly said.
"Why are all air conditioners so popular?
"Because they all have fans," Buddy answered.
Jeff leaned back and continued to frown.
Wally was eager to try.
He stood next to Jeff  and shared his best joke.
"How do you find a spider in the internet?"
"Check out his website," Wally said.
Jeff didn't think it was funny.
Cathy walked toward Jeff and started to laugh.
Jeff became curious.
"What's so funny?" Jeff asked her.
Cathy ignored him and continued to laugh.
Wally, Buddy and Pete began to laugh.
"What is so hilarious?" Jeff asked.
The rest of the class joined in and laughed.
Jeff was persistent.
"Why are you all laughing?"
The rest of the class paid no attention to Jeff.
Jeff's mood changed immediately.
He joined in with his own comical laugh.
The laughter continued until the school bell rang.
They all walked back to their classes with
a smile on their faces.
Jeff pulled Cathy aside.
"You never told me," Jeff said.
"What was so funny?"
Cathy grinned back at him and answered.
"I made you laugh, didn't I?"

Seek GOD

My day is filled,
with trial and error.
My mind is cluttered,
with burdens I bear.
My heart is troubled,
when no one cares.
So then my soul,
seeks God who's there.
My day goes by,
with so much stress.
My mind is looking,
for peace and rest.
My heart is weary,
and hurting too,
So then my soul,
calls out to you.
YOU HEALED MY HEART,
AND CLEANSED MY SOUL.
YOU GAVE ME STRENGTH,
AND MADE ME WHOLE.
YOU SENT YOUR SPIRIT,
TO GUIDE ME THROUGH.
YOU SHOW YOUR LOVE,
IN ALL YOU DO.
My day looks bad,
and I'm feeling down.
My mind is lost,
from pacing around.
My heart beats fast,
in face of fear.
So then my soul,
seeks God who's near.
The time has come,
where it's hard to cope.
My mind is searching,
where there is hope.
My heart does ache,
for perfect love.
So then my soul,
seeks God above.
YOU HEALED MY HEART,
AND CLEANSED MY SOUL.
YOU GAVE ME STRENGTH,
AND MADE ME WHOLE.
YOU SENT YOUR SPIRIT,
TO GUIDE ME THROUGH.
YOU SHOW YOUR LOVE,
IN ALL YOU DO.

If you're a writer .........

If you're a writer and you know it,
click your pen.
If you're a writer and you know it,
click your pen.
If you're a writer,
then you know you need to start now.
If you're a writer and you know it,
click your pen.

If you finished your book and you know it,
say wah-hoo.
If you finished your book and you know it,
say wah-hoo.
If you finished your book,
then you should go and publish it.
If you finished your book and you know it,
say wah-hoo.

If your book is good and you know it,
say cha-ching.
If your book is good and you know it,
say cha-ching.
If your book is good,
then tell everyone about it.
If your book is good and you know it,
say cha-ching.

Commit to get Fit

So are you ready, to get fit?
Do you have the time to commit?
Exercise is easy, it can be done.
It's a work out and it's really fun.
If you stumble now and then.
Just get back up and start again.
Choose one exercise that suits you.
There is so much that you can do.
Aerobics, ballet and dance, too.
Even a treadmill to name a few.
Go for a jog or get on a bike.
Play some tennis or go on a hike.
You don't have to run a race.
You can go at your own pace.
Stretch a little bit, followed by a swim.
You can use weights to stay trim.
Head to the gym and kick up your feet.
You can do this, with rhythm and beat.
They tell you it's healthy and fun.
Whether you walk, skip or run.
You can exercise an hour each day.
Bring along a friend and start today.
No more excuses, it's time to commit.
Set yourself a goal and just do it!

First Christmas

 MERRY CHRISTMAS

The word became flesh, on that very night.
When the shepherds saw the beautiful sight.
It's our Savior Jesus, who was born,
He came from heaven, in the early morn.
It was that night, when Salvation had begun.
When God had sent his beloved Son.
He came down to save us from our sin.
We could surely see God's love within.
He died on the cross for our sake.
So that our bondage of sin would break.
Now every Christmas, we recall that very day.
When we proclaim, that it's Jesus Birthday.
