RIGHT OR WRONG

 

If we ignore God's Word,

then we lose sight.

We become blinded, 

to what's wrong or right.

What the false teachers preach,

which many people choose.

If we follow their way, 

our soul we'll lose.

Just like Adam and Eve,

ate the forbidden fruit.

If it's against God's will,

then we don't do it.

It's the Word of God,

that we should believe.

Not the false teaching,

that aims to deceive.

We ignore their words,

that can be appealing.

We don't make decisions,

based on how we're feeling.

What's inside the Bible,

is still prevalent today.

So we read the Bible,

to know the right way.

DO GOD'S WILL

 

I keep on living,

I'm not going to stop.

Even when I get discouraged,

I'm not giving up.

I obey the Lord,

I do what he ask.

I give it my best,

in any given task.

I have a purpose,

God uses me to fulfill.

The reason I was created,

to do God's will.

I'm called by God, 

not based on my ability.

But my obedience to serve,

and I'm willing.

There's no better way,

to live this life.

Go forth on my mission,

as long as I'm alive.

And in the end,

when I'm finished.

God will reward me,

according to what I accomplished. 

WHAT I KNOW

 

I'm so happy, 

that God loves me.

And I know his love,

goes on endlessly.

His grace and mercy,

is there every day.

The help he's provided,

when there's no way.

He cares about me,

he's there wherever I go.

He'll never forsake me,

that's what I know.

God has comforted me,

the moments I grieved.

He's done many things,

including healing I received.

The mistakes I've made,

the sins I committed.

With God's redemption plan,

I was forgiven.

So you can see now,

when I tell you this.

What my life shows,

how great God is.

  

ACTION SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS

 

Our actions speak louder,

than the words we say.

So if we serve God,

people will see it on display.

When God forgives us, 

we do the same.

We show we obey,

just like we proclaim.

Since God loves us,

and we believe it's true.

We are to love God,

and love others too.

When God provides for us,

we share with one another.

Whether plenty or less,

God loves a cheerful giver.

If we say we have faith,

it'll show by our good deed.

We don't hesitate to help,

when there's a need.

When we do God's will,

and put aside our ways.

We're committed to God,

and give him praise.

EVERYONE HAS A STORY

 

Everyone has a story,

a life changing moment.

It defines who we are,

and we should share it.

I came across a man,

who had a story to tell.

What he had to say,

it did not go well.

He was a go getter,

who was stricken with an illness.

Despite many different tests,

they made no progress.

But he didn't give up,

he decided to pray.

Let God take over,

and do it his way.

Days became weeks,

with many sleepless nights.

So he kept praying,

help me win this fight.

With witnesses around,

he suddenly was healed.

They called it a miracle,

his prayer was answered.

When he turned his focus,

and relied on God's grace.

Then he finally realized,

why this trial took place.

He was drawn closer to God,

in the midst of strife.

Now he can say, 

God changed his life.

BE LIKE JESUS

 

Do what Jesus did,

love like Jesus loves.

Say what Jesus said,

forgive like Jesus does.

Stand on his promises,

pray like Jesus taught.

Know he's always here,

there's never a time he's not.

Learn about our Savior,

that includes his love.

It's much more than,

we can measure or think of.

The greatest love shown,

was what Jesus did.

He died on the cross,

for all our sins.

Remember the story,

about the Good Samaritan.

Jesus did it by example,

so we do it.

If we love Jesus,

we want to be like him.

So in all our actions,

we do what Jesus did.

ODE TO VOLUNTEERS

 

He may seem ordinary,

but his desire shows.

He makes people happy,

wherever he goes.

He has this goal,

that keeps him going.

Not to earn money,

but volunteer in helping.

It can be anyone,

even in the neighborhood.

To someone grieving,

or someone homebound.

It could be a friend,

or someone in the family.

There may be a stranger

he happens to see.

He has this confidence,

he can make a difference.

Because of God's help,

and the Lord's guidance.

You may not know him,

but there's so many others.

That do the same thing,

be kind to one another.  

WHAT GOD CAN DO

 

What God can do,

is turn things around.

Remember the walls of Jericho,

that came crashing down.

Water came flowing out,

in a desert field.

Dead bones came alive,

many people were healed.

God displayed his power,

to defeat the enemies.

God shown his sovereignty,

to fulfill his prophecies.

He performs many miracles,

even to this day.

It may seem impossible,

God makes a way.

God is not a spectator,

whenever we struggle.

God is our refuge and strength,

in times of trouble.

There's a reason to believe,

no matter what we face.

He's faithful to his Word,

so his help will take place.

 

SAVOR EACH MOMENT

 

You can make plans,

for someone you love.

Do everything possible,

that you can think of.

You imagine your time,

how great it'll be.

Because all you want,

is to make her happy.

But nothing is guaranteed,

especially what happens tomorrow.

Because in my experience,

it brought me sorrow.

My dreams were shattered,

the moment she passed away.

No more times together,

no more plans to make.

I faced the fact,

nothing lasts forever.

Even when I had,

the best friend ever.

This is my reminder,

don't take life for granted.

As long as I'm alive,

I savor each moment.  

I CAN DO THIS

 

I know I'm getting older,

and my strength has diminished.

One thing hasn't changed,

God's plan for me is not finished.

I have my limitations,

but I have this confidence.

What God calls me to do,

I have his assurance.

He gives me strength,

and his divine guidance.

I'm filled with the Holy Spirit,

so I can do this.

Doubts can fill my mind,

I'm not good enough.

What skills do I have,

that I can think of?

When I have these thoughts,

there's a reminder in the Bible.

It's God who equips me,

that's why I'm able.

So with each new task,

God works through me.

So I accomplish his plans,

that brings God the glory.

OUR SPIRITUAL HEALTH

 

While we may succeed,

to gain material wealth.

But have we considered,

about our spiritual health?

There's different viewpoints,

on this important matter.

There's many ways to heaven,

or we need a Savior.

What the evil preaches,

their intentions are clear.

Their message is to deceive,

but appealing to hear.

Their goal is to blind you,

from the real truth.

What God provides is grace,

that can save you.

The Bible reveals God's Word, 

salvation is freely given.

But we need to repent,

so we can be forgiven.

If we choose Jesus,

we discover he's the one.

The way, truth and life,

the only way it's done.

REMAIN STEADFAST

 

Keep on praying, keep on serving,

keep on living for Jesus.

Every moment, every day,

always seek his presence.

Keep on smiling, keep on singing,

keep praising our Savior Lord.

Keep on reading, the Holy Bible,

meditate on his Word.

Keep on striving, keep on hoping,

keep your spiritual fervor going.

Never stopping, never waver,

there's a purpose for your living.

Keep on helping, keep on sharing,

where love is always shown.

In your actions, in your words,

let it be known.

Even the times when you struggle,

remain steadfast in your trial.

Because God's will, it produces perseverance,

which is vital.

If you hold on and stand firm,

till the very end.

According to what you've done,

you will be rewarded.

MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE

 

Able, Leery and Folly,

spent time together.

Despite their differences,

and arguments with each other.

They made an effort,

to seek common ground.

They had one similar interest,

it was at the playground.

But suddenly it all changed,

when Able made a suggestion.

"Let's complete the project,

that we never finished."

With complete confidence,

Able said, "let's do it!"

Able was very capable,

he was fully committed.

But Folly scowled at Able,

"this is a crazy task."

He dismissed Able's idea,

"it's a foolish thing you ask."

"Let's try?" Able asked Leery,

he tried to convince him.

He used words of encouragement,

even though the odds were slim.

Leery's immediate reaction,

was not a complete shock.

Back and forth he debated,

when he made his remark.

Leery reluctantly said, "No,"

with mixed emotions.

Despite Able's earnest efforts,

Leery made his decision.

Able stood all alone,

mad at the two.

They should have tried,

in Able's point of view.

GOD MAKES A WAY

 

I'm pursuing my goal,

and I'm raring to go.

Any obstacles won't stop me,

because I already know.

Even if I fail,

or it's another dead end.

I rely on the Lord,

so I'll try again.

GOD MAKES A WAY,

WHEN I DON'T SEE HOW.

HE HAS IT ALL PLANNED,

FOR LATER OR FOR NOW.

SO I PRAY CONTINUALLY,

AND KEEP THIS IN MIND.

IT'S ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL,

AND DONE IN HIS TIME.

I've been turned down,

that I lost count.

I had my moments,

when I began to doubt.

When I hear the words,

I'm not good enough.

That I'm not qualified,

but I'm not giving up.

GOD MAKES A WAY,

WHEN I DON'T SEE HOW.

HE HAS IT ALL PLANNED,

FOR LATER OR FOR NOW.

SO I PRAY CONTINUALLY,

AND KEEP THS IN MIND.

IT'S ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL,

AND DONE IN HIS TIME. 

FOCUS ON THE LORD

 

A world filled with hatred,

many people are suffering.

Families split apart,

many others are grieving.

It's in the news,

there's battles across the globe.

Many people are quarreling,

is there any hope?

A feeling of anxiety,  

with worries and fear.

Evil seems to be in control,

where do we go from here?

Our faith should not waver,

in the midst of strife.

Because we have Jesus,

he's our hope in life.

We focus on the Lord,

and promises he said.

Our hope is not diminished,

so we look ahead.

Because we all know,

Jesus will appear again.

He shall bring peace,

our sorrows will end. 

WHAT I'VE LEARNED

 

From the many times,

the sermons I've heard.

The scriptures I memorized,

this is what I've learned.

There's never a limit,

how much we pray.

God never stops loving us,

even when we stray.

There's never a time,

that God is not here.

There's never a moment,

we should fear.

There's never a day,

God's mercy is not new.

Even with his promises,

they always come true.

There's never an occasion,

we stop being thankful.

Even during tough times,

we know God is always helpful.

There's always a reason,

we read God's Word.

The only way to know,

about our Savior Lord.

EVERY GOOD DEED

 

No matter where we go,

it can be any place.

We make people smile,

to light up their face.

We say encouraging words,

that begins with a greeting.

We're helpful and kind,

and we're always friendly.

It should matter to us,

in what we do.

Do everything in love,

like God does too.

It's a God given task,

that should inspire us.

To take some time, 

we do all this.

At any given moment,

there's people with a need.

We can make a difference,

with every good deed.

We make a commitment,

we do our part.

When the opportunity arrives,

we're ready to start.

WE PUT GOD FIRST

 

When we love God,

then surely, we obey.

When we read his Word,

we do it every day.

When we know his Word,

we tell people everywhere.

When God provides for us,

we go and share.

When God leads us,

we follow his way.

Since God is with us,

we know to pray.

When God blesses us,

we thank the Lord.

When God heals us,

we thank him even more.

When we serve God,

we help his people.

We offer our assistance,

when we're able.

When we submit to God,

and do all this.

We put God first,

and no one else. 

BECAUSE OF GOD'S GRACE

 

I've been through tough times,

I've cried many tears.

Even tragedy struck me,

there was loneliness and fears.

During these difficult times,

I couldn't change anything.

But I prayed to the Lord,

who can do everything.

Because I already knew,

about God's sovereignty.

So hope was not lost,

in my times of adversity.

There were some times,

I thought this was it.

But God had a plan, 

he chose the moment.

When I faced these trials,

no matter how bad it was.

There's a Bible verse,

that reminded me this.

What I went through,

I relied on God's power.

Because of God's grace,

I was made stronger.

RIGHT PERSPECTIVE

 

I may not have the voice,

for any songs I sing.

But I can praise God,

and thank him for everything.

I may struggle at times,

with words I want to say.

But it doesn't stop me,

when I go and pray.

I may do good works,

with a clear conscience.

But first and foremost,

God wants my obedience.

I may have my desires,

but I stop and consider.

Is it aligned with God's will,

I know his ways are better.

I may not know,

what a day may bring forth.

But I rely on the Lord,

who directs my course.

I may not be qualified,

what God calls me to do.

It's what he does through me,

including preach the good news.
